Using the same heart sensing technology as our popular Listen to Your Heart exhibit, this incredible new device uses the visitor’s heartbeat to actually control the tempo of music.  A touch screen allows selection from a variety of music.  Placing your hands on the two brass sensors starts the music, which is perfectly synchronized to your pulse rate.

The pulse rate in beats per minute is displayed on a graph, and the picture of the heart animates with every beat.  We can easily customize the screen to meet your needs.  Dome or focused panel loudspeakers are available for installations where sound control is required.

One great idea often leads to another.  Here, we replace the heartbeat sensor with your choice of trigger.  Almost any  repetitive gesture or action can be sensed and used for tempo control.  Wave a baton, tap your toe, bounce a ball, wail on an air guitar, shake a rattle, swing a pendulum, or bop ‘til you drop, and the music follows your every move.  We can customize the screen to present any information you like.
